Why am I doing children's books?

I read to my child.
Every day.
Sometimes full of energy sometimes tired and bored.

But I read.
And it works.
The little one is sitting alone with a book upside down and "reads", quotes passages,
reads to its doll and has unusual words taken in its vocabulary.
It says things like: "One day I want to live on the other side
of the river." or "The heavenly blue sea!".
My child has most of its knowledge from books.
"A hedgehog must be free, otherwise he dies!"
And the little one begins to ask questions.
"Why can't foxes climb at trees?"
It has just discovered the great songbook and learns the lyrics by heart.
The library in the child's room is already bigger than the library in the living room. For a good reason. The books are building blocks and home. After 5 weeks of vacation, the little one comes into its room and calls wholeheartedly:

"Oh yes! All my books are there!"
